#3428: Weaponry Selected

So back in CVRPG IV we had the heroines from the past, Cassie Belmont and Jenny Baldwin. I had plans, at one point, to do a follow up series with just them focusing on their adventures after they got back to their time and the trouble they could get in to, but I just never had a good place to start it and I really didn't know where their story would go. I eventually just worked them in to DSWC for a short spell and let whatever story they were gonna tell happen over there.
This is, I intended to introduce Cassie brother, Darius, at one point so I worked up a bunch of sprites for him and gave him this wicked axe and javelins. Darius, you will note, never appeared in the comic at all, so I had this sprite sheet I worked up just sitting around, taking up space. Seemed like since I had the elements, may as well let Claypool have them. Claypool gets to be a bad ass and I get to use up sprites I'd otherwise have unused in my archive.
When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...
These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...
They actually do something heroic.
