#36: Fly Out and Find

The Evil Eye being a curse, of course. Tends to cause injury or bad luck (thank you Wikipedia). Maybe Edgar is a charm against the Evil Eye. It's a possibility.
Not that the Evil Eye has any connection to the ancient Druids (as little as we know about them) -- although perpetuated in various cultures, including Islam, Judaism, and Christianity, the "curse" didn't seem to make its way to the ancient British Isles.
Color blindness, being a genetic trait, would probably continue on in whatever eye Purple made into his little familiar. Makes sense.
