#309: Definitely Not Right

This Comic's Cast:

And so the clone is gobbled up to become Dracula. For the record, yes that means the clone is dead. A host for Dracula becomes Dracula. No extraction allowed once that happens.

Why kill the clone? Well, for one it works as a way, in the continuity of Castlevania, to bring back Dracula. It also provides an in-continuity way to write the clone out of the series, since he had to disappear -- the continuity reboot of the original series demanded it.

That’s not explicitly true. In Curse of Darkness, when Death doesn’t manage to manipulate Hector into slaying Isaac and become the ideal host for Dracula’s resurrection, he uses Isaac instead. However, when Hector proved more capable than anticipated, the body returned to that of Isaac. Of course, it’s implied that the resurrection hadn’t fully set in or something, and it didn’t end particularly well for Isaac, who seemed to pass on soon after... so probably wouldn’t go well for Richter II anyhow.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
